Zurich-based designer Alfredo Häberli has created the Dado modular sofa system for furniture brand Andreu World, which can be pieced together like a puzzle.

The Dado sofa system comprises a series of modules that can be combined to create different seating configurations for a variety of contexts and environments.

Häberli has created modules with curved corners, for instance, as well as modules that are open on both sides with just a backrest in order to be lined up next to each other to form one long sofa.

Modules with no sides at all are also available, to allow for an island of seats or to serve as footstools.

Users can piece together their own sofa design like Tetris blocks. As the Spanish furniture brand explains, the idea is "to offer infinite possibilities of creating and composing" the sofas, in order for the user to customise them to their own space.
