Edelman & McPhee may sound like the name of some tony New England law firm or perhaps an upscale apparel brand, but John Edelman and John McPhee are in fact a bit like the Oscar Madison and Felix Unger of the furniture industry. Through the past two decades and more, they’ve evolved as unlikely but effectively inseparable business roomies and complementary colleagues in running such firms as footwear company Sam & Libby and Edelman Leather.
