Steelcase, Herman Miller make it tough for investors with mixed results

For years, I have followed the financials of Steelcase and Herman Miller and reported on them together, simply because it made sense from a timing standpoint — both companies tended to report quarterly financial results within a few days of each other — and partly because the companies have had a very similar business model. For the most part, comparing Steelcase and Herman Miller was an “apples to apples” comparison.
