Pennsylvania-based chair company EMECO is recognized for their chair designs that incorporate post-industrial and consumer waste materials within its fabrication. Founded in 1944, their lightweight, non-corrosive, fire resistant and torpedo proof chairs were made originally for the US Navy. The utilization of sustainable and innovative techniques allow the pieces to last at least a hundred and fifty years. For the occasion of 2016 salone del mobile, Emeco has launched their ‘Run Collection’, designed by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of industrial facility.
