A team of people in Chicago, Illinois, have designed HOVR, a device that lets you unconsciously move your feet while sitting at a desk.

Working with the MAYO Clinic, and the University of Illinois, they came up with and tested the design that allows you to burn 17% more calories when you’re sitting, as well as increase the blood circulation in your body. There are two versions, desk-mounted and a stand-alone. Once you’ve installed HOVR (or set up the stand-alone version), you simply place your feet on the pads, and you instantly start moving.
