Our Favorite Things about NeoCon
This year at NeoCon, Coalesse invites our customers to explore the evolution of customization and participate in the design process with us. We believe that participation builds deeper customer engagement, personal enjoyment and cultural meaning.
As we prepare for the biggest contract furniture event of the year, our team has reflected on some of our favorite elements of NeoCon. What do you love about NeoCon? Tell us about it in the comments below.
Celebrating furniture design
“Every year our industry travels to Chicago and celebrates every facet of the furniture business. Design, engineering, marketing, the list goes on. Everyone is excited to see what is new, beautiful, innovative, functional and sometimes outrageous. In the end, NeoCon fuels our business, allows everyone to compete for design mindshare, and brings us all together to celebrate the long heritage of the furniture industry. I look forward to another year in Chicago and the opportunity to show everyone what Coalesse has been working on.” – Tim Elms, Director of Product Marketing.
Building and nurturing relationships
“I am always excited to attend NeoCon to see friends I’ve had in the industry for over 31 years. What is just as exciting are the new people you meet. We have a unique opportunity each year to nurture and grow our relationships that can potentially be lifelong!” – Bonnie Dinkel, Sales Director.
“What I truly love most is that NeoCon feels a lot like boot camp. Everyone who attends is united in their plight: fighting the elevators, laughing at the blisters that appear on their feet and enjoying a much deserved beverage and meal at the end of the day ... all in one of the most amazing cities on earth.” – Kimberly Antisdel, Sales Consultant.
“I love the camaraderie with coworkers. It's a great time to catch up with coworkers who work at different locations, and even (shh!) former coworkers who now work for competitors (as long as the conversation is strictly non-work-related!).”
– Sherrie Willson, Digital Marketing Manager.
Learning about industry trends
“I love the energy and excitement NeoCon brings. It's a great time to get a pulse on our industry and what the competition is doing, engage in dialogue around trends and build relationships – old and new.” – Denielle Lovett, Product Manager.
Experiencing new products
“Nothing takes the place of seeing new products first-hand and hearing the spontaneous feedback from customers. I always take home new stories and anecdotes to share with my customers. ‘Yes, it’s comfortable – I sat in it at NeoCon!’”– Anita Holland, Sales Consultant.
Visiting the Coalesse showroom
“What could be better than being in a great city with great people? There's so much work (behind the scenes) for NeoCon that for many of us, it's a time to appreciate how all facets of the company have come together to produce another successful event.” – Pam Caul, Sr. Communications Specialist.
“One of my favorite things about NeoCon is walking in the door of the Coalesse showroom and the surprise of seeing what we have in store for our clients. There is always a buzz from the excitement of seeing the Coalesse family together and the continuation of our story about work and life.” – Shelley Beechie, Sales Consultant.
“NeoCon is one of the best ways to celebrate ... us and the industry! There is so much energy and hard work that builds up to the big reveal of our space and the competition. My favorite part is seeing the completed showroom for the first time. All of the vision and stress of planning finally come together in one space and we all are there to celebrate it together!” – Niki Robrahn, Product Manager.
