Houston-based Collaborative Office Interiors will open a furniture showroom in Greenway Plaza that's geared toward companies trying to more effectively recruit Millennial workers.
The 3,500-square-foot space was designed by Houston-based Ziegler Cooper and will open in 8 Greenway Plaza in mid-November, said John Ofield, founder of ROSI Office Systems Inc. Collaborative Office Interiors is a subsidiary of the 24-year-old ROSI, which focuses on more traditional office spaces.
Some parts of Collaborative Office Interiors' showroom will be static, while other parts will be in-use by Collaborative Office Interiors' employees, Ofield said.
Collaborative Office Interiors partners with roughly 15 furniture manufacturers in Houston and sells those products alongside consulting and workspace design services. The company primarily works with businesses in the technology, engineering and health care sectors, Ofield said.
"Our perfect customer is a customer who's really leveraging technology and wants to hire younger people who want to get excited about their job," Ofield said.
