Configura, maker of CET Designer software, just launched a new website at www.configura.com. The new site replaces the website that had been in place for about 10 years.
“We’ve created a streamlined, responsive website that ‘breathes’ the Configura spirit and brand. We’re showing our company through design and photos of our employees and business partners,” Configura Marketing and Communications Manager Åsa Hilmersson said.
The new site makes it easier for visitors to get an overview of what Configura is all about – from the company’s software platforms and products to its services and solutions.
The Configura Extension Technology (CET) platform is the basis for CET Designer, the award-winning space-planning software now used by the world’s largest office furniture manufacturers and thousands of interior designers and dealers around the globe. The technology also is used in the kitchen and bath, material handling, industrial machinery and lab / healthcare industries. Configura’s software solutions make specifying configurable products far more efficient and cost-effective for manufacturers, designers and salespeople.
“One of our main goals was to make the new website as easy to use as our products – simple to navigate and fun for all our visitors – including manufacturers, interior designers and salespeople, software developers and people considering careers with Configura,” Hilmerssonsaid.
The company has grown its global footprint since the last iteration of the website – with offices now in Malaysia and China as well as the United States and native Sweden. As such, Configura is looking at supporting more languages on the website.
The website was developed in collaboration with people from each of Configura’s different offices working together, with the user experience tested internally and externally and revised based on feedback.
A major change with the new website is the training section – training is now collected under the term ‘Academy’ on the new website. Here, users can find training opportunities for CET Designer and the development tools CET Developer and Catalogue Creator.
The rollout of the new website is happening in phases, with updates to the site’s Support, Marketplace and MyConfigura pages happening in the coming months, Hilmersson said.
