The first motivation for Atmosphere Commercial Interiors’ downtown Minneapolis office renovation was to build an innovative space that would inspire and accommodate team members. The space is filled with artwork and color and has just two private offices. The configuration offers employees varied and vibrant workspaces to choose from each day.
The second motivation for Atmosphere’s renovation was to stand out in a recruiting market that CEO and President Carlene Wilson describes as a “war for talent” in Minneapolis.
The third motivation gives the space its new name: Worklab. Atmosphere brings together architecture, furniture and technology solutions in the contract furniture industry for clients such as Target Corp. and Marriott, as well as a host of startups. Clients expect Atmosphere to provoke their thinking and to stay one step ahead of trends, Wilson said. They also expect Atmosphere to try those trends out on themselves first.
