Furnitureland South unveils contract showroom

Furnitureland South unveiled a 30,000-square-foot commercial furniture showroom, a modern open space on the second floor of its corporate headquarters building in Jamestown, NC designed to speak to companies’ distinct “DNA.”

The soft opening of Furnitureland Contract Friday drew about 125 people, including designers and other industry professionals in town for the High Point Market. Design expert Angelo Adamo of Angelo Adamo Design, gave a keynote address emphasizing the critical role of designers in the commercial furniture business in “bringing back a sense of belonging,” to work spaces for employees and for the ultimate benefit of companies.

The new showroom is designed to address the special needs of what Furnitureland South refers to as a company’s “DNA” and has specialists in the category on hand to help with everything from space planning needs to furniture, accessory additions and related technology solutions and more.

There are seven business type environments represented on the floor, including a “Creative & Collaboration” area that’s “perfect for marketing and advertising agencies,” the retailer notes in a booklet mapping out the showroom and the thinking behind it. Within this particular space are smaller spaces and furnishings that speak to the business in mind, including a lobby area, a conference room, an open office and quick meeting “touchdown zones.”
