Maars Living Walls, the NeoCon-award-winning global designer and manufacturer of acoustic walls and doors, heads to NeoCon 2018 ready to unveil for the first time its new AXES door-wall system as well as exhibit a multitude of other acoustic products in an elegantly updated showroom experience.
“North America is a key market – the United States, in fact, is the fastest-growing market in the world for us – and that’s why it’s so important for us to be at NeoCon,” Maars CEO Menno de Vries said.
Exhibiting for the fourth consecutive year at the show, Maars builds on the momentum begun several years ago when the company entered the North American market.
“We’re winning more projects here in the U.S. because of the increased demand for acoustic products,” said Robert Craven, Maars Living Walls USA managing director.
Maars holds more than 100 third-party certificates and many patents for acoustic products. For years, the company’s products have dominated the European and Middle East builtlandscape. Among Maars’ recent U.S. installations is a seven-story project in Boston; the client selected Maars for internal wall systems because of strict acoustic requirements specified by the architect, Maars’ acoustic expertise and its proven product performance.
Maars will launch AXES at NeoCon 2018
Maars will unveil a groundbreaking new product at NeoCon 2018: AXES, steel-finish doors that pivot on axis points to become an acoustic wall system.
AXES was developed with highly innovative and patented architectural standards, resulting in an access system with “invisible” doors, minimalist design and excellent acoustic performance. The revolutionary system is ideal for education, office, healthcare and other environments that require unimpeded access, the flexibility of both open and private spaces, and acoustic performance.
AXES will serve as both an entrance point and a focal point of Maars’ showroom space at NeoCon.
Experience Maars lineaCubes’ sound insulation and absorption capabilities at NeoCon
Also as part of Maars’ NeoCon exhibition will be two soundproof glass rooms within the showroom space for users to experience Maars’ award-winning sound insulation and absorption capabilities.
The NeoCon Gold award-winning lineaCube (also known as the multiCube) answers the demand for a “room within a room” in an open-space environment.
“We’re showing the lineaCubes with two different acoustic environments so users can understand sound isolation and absorption and how important they are to the environment in which they work,” Craven said.
The lineaCube offers minimalist design and a completely self-supporting structure with a recessed ceiling and double-glazing. As an independent architectural space, the lineaCubehas its own ventilation, acoustic insulation and absorption, and power, data, audio and lighting integrated into the ceiling.
Because of the absence of vertical profiles, even at the corners, the lineaCube is transparent.Combinations with blinds, privacy glass, closed walls and other Maars materials and products are possible. The layout of the lineaCube is open to endless variations, from a one-person office to a consulting room with separate compartments.
Elegant showroom experience, minimalist products, acoustic solutions
The minimalist profile for which Maars is known will permeate the company’s 2018 NeoConshowroom. Throughout, visitors will experience high-design acoustic solutions for the built environment.
The showroom will blend natural and high-tech materials such as wood floors, brushed-gold hardware, and glass- and steel-clad walls. The neutral sophistication of shades of black, brown and grey will be accented by pops of the Maars “signature orange” as well as colors reminiscent of the 1970s.
A reception area with stools, and a conversation area featuring upholstered seating, will invite people to relax, meet the Maars team and experience the products. Nearby, a video screen embedded into one of the walls will display Maars’ product videos and Maars 4D design software capabilities.
“Walking into the showroom will be a warm, inviting experience,” said de Vries, “We want to show people that we produce more than walls: We create environments that inspire.”
NeoCon attendees are invited to visit the Maars Living Walls showroom at NeoCon this June 11-13 in Space 7-5030, The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, Illinois, USA.
