Chief, an industry leader in AV and workspace mounting solutions, will debut the Accel™ Active Desktop, an innovative sit-to-stand workspace solution, at NeoCon booth 7-2130.
The solution is designed to solve common issues users experience with similar products, with the goal of accelerating movement in the workplace. With a large 46” wide x 20” deep primary desktop surface and secondary 40” wide x 10” deep upper surface, Accel 46 provides ample space for a variety of work tasks and space uses without having to leave anything needed behind. Accel’s footprint is optimized for shallower depth desktops, resting on a 24” deep work surface, and is also optimized for both traditional and corner desk uses.
“For Chief, it was a natural progression of our workplace technology product category to expand to sit-to-stand solutions,” said David Albright, Business Development Manager. “We heard users want to have the full height-adjustable desk experience provided in an easily retrofit desktop solution.”
Accel repositions to the user’s preferred standing work height with the touch of a button, electrically actuated for ultimate ergonomics. Accel was engineered to maintain rigidity at any height for a stable experience no matter what task is being performed.
“When developing Accel, we heard feedback from users that current products on the market can leave them with an almost seasick feeling due to display vibration,” said Albright. “We saw the opportunity to create a better experience with a really stable solution.”
The lower surface provides minimal height impact when seated for optimal ergonomics. With three memory pre-sets, Accel allows users to smoothly and easily raise and lower their desktop to preferred settings. Two integrated USB-A ports provide convenience charging for personal devices.
With two elegant finish options, Accel’s design aesthetic complements commercial office environments and is available in single and dual monitor versions.
