Designtex announced that Casper™ Cloaking Technology has been honored as a finalist in the Workplace category in Fast Company’s 2018 Innovation By Design Awards, which celebrates innovative design in business. This year, the contest received over 2,800 submissions across 16 categories. Designtex was honored amongst many other big names such as Google, Nike and Stanford University.
Casper™ Cloaking Technology, a category defining breakthrough product, is an architectural film for glass walls that obscures digital screens to outside views. It acts as a smart shield to ensure data privacy, while providing the peace of mind to collaborate freely in any working environment. Casper’s innovation is that it provides two simultaneous viewing states – transparency and opacity. It enables participants in a room to see out and passersby to see in, while still protecting the information that is being shown on a screen.
“Designtex has always valued innovative and practical design that can make a difference,” says Susan Lyons, President of Designtex. “Being honored by Fast Company is a monumental moment that reconfirms our belief in the importance of pushing the envelope and being a leader in the development of new materials and solutions for the industry.”
