Designers know hotel lobbies are no longer the transient waiting areas poised between the front door and guest room, but active community centers. Formerly a pit stop on the way to your room, hotel lobbies have changed in function, aesthetic, and program, bringing along a new era of interactive furniture design into the forefront. In order to achieve a communal space within hotel lobbies, furniture manufacturers are creating lounge seating reminiscent of residential furniture design. Koleksiyon, manufacturer of innovative solutions for contemporary work culture has created several collections that meet these hospitality needs, creating a hotel lobbies that can function as lounge areas, co-working spaces, or meeting locations.

The Oscar sofa, designed by Studio Kairos for Koleksiyon, harnesses a modern design philosophy, adapting to spaces of all shapes and sizes with its single, two- or three-seat alternatives, as well as an optional armrest variation. An elongated, delicate frame is spun from slender metal legs that are drawn out in an A-line shape at the sofa’s sides. Subtle undulations are visualized throughout the sofa’s upper layer with delicate lines meeting one another at each cushion’s end.

The detailing on the legs of the sofa can also be seen on the arms. With different colored pillows which support your posture, the sofa displays functionality.
