If the CET Experience (formerly the CET User Conference) had an unofficial title for its program, it would be “The Journey.” After all, the conference, which was held last week at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes resort in Orlando, is all about users of the powerful space planning software helping each other get their projects from A to B as efficiently as possible.
Configura Chief Executive Officer Johan Lyreborn announced at the conference he was stepping down as its leader, though he will stay with the company as its “evangelist” — a role where he can talk about the company's journey from a small group of self-proclaimed Swedish software geeks to one of the space planning standards in the industry.
Its user base has grown by 32% this year, and the company expects sales growth of 21% in 2019.
The conference was about the companies and the people that use CET Designer. CET Experience is about bringing those users together to share best practices, tips and a few tricks on how to use the software better.
