Configura – the Swedish technology company that makes the space-planning software CET Designer – has released the 10.5 version of the software.
CET Designer 10.5 includes a set of construction tools, Photo Lab updates and an improved interface for keyboard shortcuts.
The set of construction tools in CET Designer 10.5 consists of three tools to help users reference points in their drawings and to measure distances from a set baseline.
Photo Lab – a built-in tool for creating photorealistic renderings in CET Designer – has received some updates with the new release. Several new panorama backgrounds to choose from have been added. The realistic-generated sky background in the Lighting & Shadows section of Photo Lab is now optional. For more information about Photo Lab, please go to https://www.configura.com/cet/support/about-photo-lab-3/.
CET Designer 10.5 now offers a better overview and sorting of keyboard shortcuts. The user interface for the keyboard shortcuts dialogue has been improved. New search and sorting functions should make it easier for users to find the shortcuts that they’re looking for.
New features and improvements are often inspired by CET Designer users, whose input helps to shape the future of the software.
Used by thousands of people globally, CET Designer helps manufacturers and their distributors by providing a single software solution for space planning and product ordering. The solution is used in a number of industries that manufacture configurable products; industries include office furniture, kitchen and bath, material handling, industrial machinery and laboratory/healthcare.
CET Designer is Configura's "core" Parametric Graphical Configuration (PGC)-based software platform; an Extension is an addition to the program with functionality that incorporates all of the rules, parts and pricing of a given manufacturer's products.
Manufacturers partner with Configura to create CET Designer Extensions that make selling their products fast, easy and extremely accurate. The highly visual software enables 2D and 3D design, a project collaboration tool, photorealistic renderings, fly-thru videos, virtual and augmented reality experiences, instant pricing, parts lists and installation documents.
