As the lines between residential and corporate spaces continue to blur, Arcadia’s Uptown Social collection of lounge and modular seating, benches and tables comes into sharp focus. This extensive family of products seamlessly blends minimalist design with the relaxing aspects of home and features a wide array of options to outfit both upscale and casual spaces alike.
Designed by brothers Chris and Jon Panichella, Uptown Social is the ideal solution for any collaborative or co-working space, higher education, healthcare and hospitality markets. Key to its sense of comfort is in the construction of its foam, offering a cozier sit than traditional contract seating. And for the ultimate in relaxation, a corresponding chaise model invites users to stretch out in style.
Whether used as standalone pieces, or in modular configurations large and small, the collection offers a broad base of models to configure the ideal arrangement. From lounge, love seat, sofas and curved seating styles, to integrated tables in all wood or with upholstered body, integrated benches and more, design flexibility is among Uptown Social’s standout features.
Expanding on those choices, tufted stitching can be specified on the back and seat cushions of all seating units as an option, with choice of 4-inch and 7-inch arms in Walnut, White Oak or Corian caps for another level of detail. An optional wood trim featured below the upholstered frame is offered on all models lending additional warmth, contrast and visual interest against the signature metal leg. And pillows, a first for Arcadia, are offered in complementary sizes to provide creative opportunities to finish a curated look.
From a technology standpoint, power units are available on both the front or side of arm seating models, as well as all tables ensuring convenient access and maximum functionality.
“With Uptown Social, we are meeting a need in the market for furniture that embraces the residential aesthetic we’re seeing in today’s commercial spaces while meeting the demands of contract environments,” says Helen Kim, Director of Marketing for Arcadia. “It really represents the best of both worlds and showcases our strengths in providing beautifully designed, comfortable,
and lasting solutions.”
Rounding out the collection are benches and occasional tables, offered in varying sizes and shapes, in addition to a versatile pull-up table, all of which feature the same level of options, flexibility and style as its lounge and modular counterparts.
Available now in its entirety, Uptown Social remains in a class by itself to appeal to the broadest of audiences.
