BuzziSpace will manifest its vision for happy and healthy workplaces during Milan Design Week with a presentation at Archiproducts Milano in Zona Tortona. The collection includes a growing range of human-centric solutions for noise reduction, including an acoustic lighting portfolio that's both decorative and functional, as well as furnishings designed to balance collaboration and privacy—all conceived to meet the needs of the modern office, and beyond.
The installation will debut during Fuorisalone (April 9-14, 2019) and remain in place year-round as a functioning co-networking lab at Archiproducts. The unique format invites visitors to experience BuzziSpace first-hand within the context of a real environment that's both inspirational and practical.
Inspired by nature, BuzziSpace dives into the concept of microenvironments to create happy, healthy workspaces to answer varying demands within an office, while balancing sound, light and air. It's a comprehensive approach that incorporates a growing range of solution-oriented furnishings, acoustic lighting and accessories. BuzziSpace will preview a new acoustic lighting solution and introduce a lounge seating series, presented alongside BuzziBracks and BuzziMood, which will be on display for the first time in Milan.
BuzziDome by BuzziSpace Studio
BuzziDome is a contemporary acoustic pendant light. The refined semi-dome shape is upholstered in fabric and paired with a recessed LED light source. The tailored design casts soft shadows, accentuating its meticulous craftsmanship, while its versatile shape emits an ambient, functional light, creating a warm, homey feeling in workspaces, restaurants and hotel lobbies. Wide in diameter, BuzziDome absorbs and diffuses un-desired noise while providing atmospheric, high quality lighting. Users can also play around with different colors to uplift any environment.
BuzziDee by BuzziSpace Studio
Engineered to absorb sound, this versatile pouf seating series effortlessly provides comfort and convenience, with the added benefit of noise reduction. The contemporary design is unique for its original shape, which features rounded corners on top and below. Firm yet lightweight, BuzziDee makes it easy to pull up an extra seat or rearrange your space. It is an ideal add-on for break-out areas and open-plan spaces. Available in three models: Solo, Solo Large, and Trio, which can be combined and customized in a wide range of striking colors and fabrics. Users can also choose from 3D Rib or Flat finish for more or less visual interest.
BuzziBracks by Alain Gilles
Through an exploration of new ways of working, BuzziSpace arrived at a dynamic system, developed in collaboration with designer Alain Gilles. BuzziBracks offers a flexible, modular framework to easily carve out small, designated areas within large, open spaces. Each unit can be customized to take on a range of functions—from personal, shared or flex workspace, to communal lounge, meeting or focus areas.
Specify one or two standard height frames and choose from numerous curtains options (from opaque velvets to airy sheers). The curtains act as a visual shield from one's surroundings, separating one zone from the other while providing varying degrees of privacy and noise control. Accessorize with built-in add-ons, including various desk configurations, lighting and storage solutions, or outfit with existing furnishings. Whatever the need, BuzziBracks offers the ability to create and recreate spaces without boundaries and construct dynamic environments to improve comfort, flexibility and happiness at work.
BuzziMood by Cory Grosser
Dedicated to improving wellness at work, BuzziSpace collaborated with American designer Cory Grosser to create BuzziMood, a biophilic alternative to conventional acoustic panels, which uses preserved reindeer moss as its primary material.
Conceived with happy, healthy workspaces in mind, BuzziMood offers a low-maintenance alternative to traditional plants – no watering required! As greenery in contract environments has been shown to improve employee well-being, BuzziMood, as its name suggests, works to this effect by promoting a more relaxed and calmer atmosphere with its lush, botanical appearance. BuzziMood also mitigates noise to create a more focused and productive workforce, while simultaneously serving as a natural air humidity indicator in any indoor setting.
