AIS has donated nearly $700,000 worth of installed office furniture for the new Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island headquarters in Boston.
“As a supporter of Make-A-Wish for numerous years, AIS hopes that having a newly furnished office space will enhance the organization’s mission to provide life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses,” AIS President and CEO Bruce Platzman said.
Platzman serves on the board of directors for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and has long been a supporter and advocate for the organization. AIS also donated furnishings to the previous Make-A-Wish location in the Boston area.
For the new 8,300 square-foot space, AIS donated Matrix™ and Divi® panel systems; Aloft® benching; Day-to-Day™ flip/nesting, height-adjustable and conference tables; Calibrate® storage and desking products; metal filing cabinets; and seating that includes Devens™, Upton™, Natick™, Pierce™, Triad™, LB Lounge™ and Volker™.
The Make-A-Wish Boston office employs 22 people.
“With our quest to fulfill the wish of every eligible child, it was time to move to a larger space. AIS was the first donor to support this vision, enabling us to more deeply engage staff, volunteers, donors, partners and the community in our wish granting. This transformational gift will guide our growth to the next level of impact in reaching more children,” Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chief Executive Officer Charlotte Beattie said.
