H Contract Expands into Senior Living Dining & Activity Rooms

H Contract, a supplier of upholstered seating and case goods for the senior living, commercial and higher education markets, will introduce a new dining chair program at the annual NeoCon show, running June 10-12 at The Mart in Chicago. The largest dining chair introduction in company history, the 21-piece collection is designed with senior living spaces in mind, combining residential style with commercial functionality, resulting in a safe, durable product with an ‘at-home’ feel for the aging population.

“This is a significant expansion of our product line and positions us as a premier contract furniture resource for a much broader range of senior living spaces,” said Dean Jarrett, vice president and general manager of H Contract. “With styles ranging from traditional to contemporary, the new chairs complement our existing product line of upholstered seating and case goods and offers our commercial interior design partners a variety of solutions for public dining and activity areas, residential dining rooms and entry ways.”

Constructed with solid European Beech, each chair features commercial-grade fabric covers and contract-grade durable finishes, all of which are standardon H Contract’s product line at no up-charge.

Most designs are available in a choice of two front casters, four casters or no casters, making them more versatile and mobile for residents, family members and caregivers to use depending on their physical needs and the floor surface of the room. To further customize the look, the casters are available in a choice of an antique brass or a brushed nickel finish.

In addition, two of the designs, Zara and Holt, are available in counter and bar heights for use with more casually-styled counter-height dining or game tables and bar units. Counter and bar height models are not available with casters.

“Inspired by residential designs, the chairs offer a stylish alternative to many of the institutional designs available in the marketplace, while still providing contract-specific product features that will withstand the rigors of daily commercial use,” said Jarrett. “Many of the designs also lend themselves for use beyond dining rooms, such as activity rooms, game rooms and desk chairs.”

The products will be on display at the H Contract booth, which is on the seventh floor, space 1101 at The Mart.
