IOA Healthcare Furniture has been awarded a contract by Nebraska Medicine to install recliners on their medical campus.

Under the contract, IOA’s Suspend recliner will be the new Nebraska Medicine standard, replacing 500 - 1000 existing hospital recliners over the next five years. The recliners will be used in patient rooms and other hospital locations.

Realizing the need to retire their existing hospital recliners, Nebraska Medicine began to research and test recliners for a new standard in their 718 acute-care beds facility. Nebraska Medicine chose the Suspend recliner for several key reasons. Mechanism options, the ability to keep a consistent aesthetic look in patient rooms, the double drop-arm feature (which provides ease with ingress and egress assistance), the Trendelenburg option and a continuous footrest for both comfort and ability to clean.
