Inaugural Confluence Chicago Postponed Until Next Year; NeoCon Still On

After careful consideration and in discussion with its partners, BIFMA and theMART have made the decision to postpone the inaugural Confluence Chicago to NeoCon 2021. Confluence, a multidisciplinary design ideas platform, was originally scheduled to occur in conjunction with NeoCon 2020 in June. Confluence will now launch in tandem with NeoCon 2021, June 14-16.

“Growing concerns over the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have interfered with our ability to plan, market, and execute this event in the way it deserves, especially in its debut year,” stated Myron Maurer, COO of theMART. Tom Reardon, Executive Director of BIFMA, added “We wholeheartedly believe in Confluence's mission to extend the conversations surrounding and celebrating design and look forward to continuing our collaboration with our Confluence partners in 2021.”

NeoCon 2020, the leading commercial furnishings and design show, is still planned to run June 8-10, 2020. theMART, along with key partners, including BIFMA and IIDA, are closely monitoring the situation with Coronavirus and evaluating options for NeoCon 2020. Although no specific timeline has been determined, theMART will continue to provide updates.
