Landscape Forms, announced that its Motive lighting line has won a 2020 Red Dot Award for Product Design.
“It’s an honor to be recognized on an international level as a design leader,” says Vice President of Marketing and Design and Chief Creative Officer Kirt Martin. “Design is the filter through which we make decisions. Motive is one of our most intelligent and sophisticated lighting lines. It has a great deal of depth and beauty. This award confirms the talent and work of everyone involved in bringing Motive to market.”
The international Red Dot jury recognized Motive from thousands of other 2020 product entries. Motive joins the MultipliCITY collection and Torres lighting family as Landscape Forms’ Red Dot award winners.
The Red Dot motto, “in search of good design and innovation,” exemplifies Motive lighting. Designed by Justin Champaign, Motive features some firsts for Landscape Forms, including an outdoor floor lamp and a hidden light source and clear lens in several of the fixtures, which creates sculptural light effects and an interesting visual experience.
“The collaboration with Landscape Forms to bring Motive from design concept to production of an innovative crossover indoor/outdoor luminaire family has been rewarding and exciting,” says Champaign. “Their dedication and talent made this lighting line possible. The receipt of the Red Dot award is an honor to share with them.”
Motive luminaires celebrate the beauty of light and its interaction with objects, architecture, and space, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor lighting to create out-of-the-ordinary settings. The Motive family includes area lights, a path light, a wall-mounted light, a pendant light, and a dramatic outdoor floor lamp. Each luminaire creates its own visual experience. Motive’s technologically advanced LED configuration creates smooth, even light; lamp and reflector design eliminates glare.
