Herman Miller Shuts Down Factories in Michigan

A spokesperson for Herman Miller Inc. said Monday night that the company is temporarily shutting down all of its manufacturing operations in West Michigan amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Effective at midnight, Herman Miller will stop manufacturing in the region, according to Elise Waugh, corporate communications manager at Herman Miller, this evening.

The shut down will last through April 13.

Third and first shifts "need not report for next scheduled shifts," the spokesperson said.
