School districts scrambling to meet growing demand and shifting demographics were offered an innovative alternative at this year’s CASH school facilities conference in Sacramento. DIRTT partnered with Intermodal Structures (IMS) to present a pre-manufactured structure of container-sized units assembled and outfitted as two inviting, exciting learning spaces. The stacked classrooms — one elementary, one high school — featured DIRTT Power, imbedded technology, writable surfaces and millwork. The advantages of rapid installation and availability, high quality fit and finish with a sense of permanence, and flexibility for future changes clearly struck a chord with visitors and made the DIRTT/IMS display the talk of the exhibit floor.
