STACK has designed the new offices of global accounting firm BDO located in Auckland, New Zealand.

BDO’s new office is one of contrast. The space is open, punctured by two glass atriums, flooded by natural light and designed to maximise its stunning Auckland waterfront views – yet it also provides essential privacy for its clients. A café area acts as informal meeting space and provides an indoor garden feel, which is enhanced by the use of natural American oak elements throughout the space. Harder elements are constantly softened by curves, lighting and furnishings

BDO wanted their new office space to match their status as a high end and professional accountancy, tax and advisory firm. They wanted a stylish and clean space that incorporated plenty of natural light and colourful, vibrant and warm elements. The green and fresh environment needed to support their culture of collaboration, communication and a ‘one team’ feel. Plus, the fitout needed to be completed fast with the lease expiring on their current premises in a few short months – ideally timed for the long New Zealand Christmas break.
