Fabric designed the interior for Lily’s Kitchen and we were also involved in assisting the client in selecting a building suitable to accommodate the growing business.
As part of the building evaluation, we discovered a concealed roof light that extended the length of the building and was a key factor in Lily’s Kitchen decision to take the space.

The design concept is born when we develop the word “office” and forget all the connotations that can be seen as negative: office hours, hierarchies, work, etc. Thus, we create a space for collaboration that does not translate into the traditional office; open spaces, casual collisions, gym, game room and a bar as the reception area make these offices a place that is not only fun, but also productive.

With original cement pillars, reclaimed hard-wood floors and an array of potted palms, we’ve found inspiration from the lush locations where our coconuts are sourced and the fast-paced cities where we sell our product. Each conference room is appropriately named after a global surf destination and equipped with Smart TV’s, comfortable couches and unique decor.
Known for innovation in consumer electronics accessories, ZAGG is a fast growing tech company that needed a space that would reflect its corporate identity while facilitating future growth, research, and product development. The vision for the office is a creative open space that allows for easy communication and interaction between groups. The MHTN design team accomplished this with construction of a central, two-story gathering staircase that allows for individual work, small group discussion, as well as large group and office-wide presentations. Custom wall art and graphics bring life to the space with a focus on creativity, passion and quality design.
Prescient’s new office in the Prudential 1 Tower in Chicago is exactly what you might expect from a high-tech global security firm’s office, and a bit of what you might not. Designed by Chicago-based Perkins+Will, the space is specifically designed to facilitate both human and technological collaborations.
Transparency may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about a security firm, yet Prescient’s office is predominantly an open space: The main area of the office is filled with staggered standing desks, and there are glass-encased break-out areas around the periphery. Framed windows that once made up the former exterior facade of the building are now used as dividers and are specially coated to act as transparent dry-erase boards for impromptu conversations and meetings. Along with the open lunchroom and break areas, the entire space is specifically designed to encourage free interaction between all of the employees.

3M recently unveiled a new Design Center, which is focused on enhancing creativity for its in-house design team. ‘The 3M Design Center enables colocation of designers from multiple creative disciplines – ranging from graphics to products, to user experience, materials, and packaging – across the company,’ says chief design officer Eric Quint. ‘The inspirational workspace offers continued advancement of collaborative creativity and design leadership. This studio represents a hybrid model of workspaces to accommodate creative activities supporting the 3M Design mission. The engaging space is a catalyst for creative engagement and dialogue for our design talent.’
