Arcadia’s Flirt Collection has been selected as a Gold winner for the 2018 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). Presented by the Industrial Designers Society of America, IDEA has recognized and promoted outstanding design for over 35 years and is considered one of the world’s most prestigious and rigorous design competitions. Flirt was among the few winners from nearly 1,900 entries to earn a Gold award in the Furniture & Lighting category.
Designed by David Ritch and Mark Saffell of 5d Studio, Flirt joins a long list of award-winning products created by this team. Their numerous recognitions include multiple Best of NeoCon awards and the coveted IDSA – Design of the Decade award. “To win Gold in such a respected competition and amongst some of the most esteemed designers is an exceptional honor for Mark and David,” says Casey Journigan, President of Arcadia. “We are proud to have played a part in bringing their vision to life.”
Flirt is a comprehensive collection of meeting solutions consisting of nesting guest and lounge chairs, nesting multipurpose tables, easels and divider screens – all of which ensure the utmost in mobility and space-saving opportunities. Whether used independently or grouped together to fulfill spatial or functional requirements, its broad offering allows the maximization of different settings for inspiring and supporting the work at hand.
Introduced in 2017, Flirt has already earned a top-spot as one of Arcadia’s most recognized products and will be housed among IDEA Gold winners in the permanent collection at the Henry Ford Museum.
