Office Star Products has renamed the residential side of its business OSP Home Furnishings to create a clear distinction between its commercial office line and its residential line that includes home office, occasional and accent furniture, upholstery, bedroom, dining and kitchen furniture, including kitchen islands.
The change is effective Oct. 1 and will encompass all the company’s residential sub brands that include Avenue Six, OSP Designs, Inspired by Bassett and Curia & Co.
The company said that it will retain its name Office Star Products as the parent brand name and will continue to use that name in all commercial markets.
“We are hoping the new branding of the residential side of our business will help clarify to our customers the vast array of residential products our company offers,” said Rick Blumenthal, president of Office Star Products. “We think it will generate new interest from those who may think of us as only a commercial office furniture company. Our valued clients asked for a change like this, and we listened.”
The company was formed in 1987 and began selling office seating. Eventually it expanded the line to include not only a full array of office furniture but also residential furniture. It currently has more than a million square feet of warehouse space in the U.S. and Canada, including a new facility in Louisville, Ky., that largely services e-commerce accounts.
