Andreu World has obtained the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers’ (BIFMA) level® certification. This internationally recognized certification program has been created to provide an open and transparent means of assessing the environmental and social impacts of furniture products.
Currently, level® is the most rigorous sustainability and environmental impact certification program within the international furniture industry.
To achieve the certification, Andreu World had to demonstrate compliance with the ANSI/BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard. An independent American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited third-party auditing firm evaluated the company’s social actions, energy usage, material selection and human and ecosystem health impacts as part of the certification process.
BIFMA’s level® certification program is utilized by international/governmental agencies and customers to compare the environmental characteristics of commercial furniture and is included in the EPA’s Recommended Specifications, Standards and Ecolabels for federal furniture purchasing.
