Enwork, the Lowell, Michigan, office furniture maker that has become synonymous with supplying many of the up-and-coming technology companies, has introduced Zori, a massive collection designed in-house.
Comprised of 27 product models, Zori is so extensive it required its own manufacturing facility, which opened earlier this month. The product collection was designed by Enwork Studio, a team of engineers and designers that has created custom products for innovative brands such as Tesla, Lyft and Pinterest using a needs-based design process. Enwork studio followed the same design process to create Zori, which was inspired by the latest architecture and design trends and technology within education and training spaces.
“At Enwork, product development begins with a deep understanding of the customer and how their spaces are used,” said Mike Kelley, president of Enwork. “The Zori collection is a culmination of that research, layered with Enwork's design philosophy and modernist design principles.”
Every component of Zori is intentionally designed and manufactured, from the flip-top training tables to technology-friendly teacher desks and command centers. Cast- and extruded-aluminum construction adds strength and stability to the product and makes it possible to incorporate specific design details. The Zori collection's vertical column shapes and feet capture light to create visual interest and blend into the architecture.
Zori training table heights begin at 24 inches for K-12 applications and are available with flip-top or folding-leg mechanisms. Teacher desks and command centers integrate classroom technology without sacrificing design or aesthetics. Mobile whiteboards and media stands enable collaboration in a variety of spaces, from student unions and libraries to classrooms and private offices.
“Our main objective with Zori was to create a beautiful and comprehensive table collection at a compelling price point,” said David Powell, Enwork's owner and CEO. “Zori represents our best thinking within the training tables product category.”
While the standard options and configurations are endless, Zori is designed to be customization-friendly. “Almost every corporate or university standards program requires some customization, which ranges from integrating a piece of technology to sourcing special material,” Kelley said.
Zori is available with a four- to six-week lead time. It is also available on GSA, National IP and other state purchasing contracts.
