One Workplace, the California Steelcase superdealer, continues to extend its reach with the acquisition of OpenSquare, a dealer that serves Seattle and Spokane.
For One Workplace, the deal is another example of how it continues to evolve and transition the business from what used to be simply a traditional furniture dealership to an organization that helps its clients work better through a spectrum of products and services, according to the company's chief operating officer.
Mark Baker said the acquisition gives One Workplace the opportunity to leverage a lot of skills and strengths that both businesses have.
It also creates a common link for customers in two markets that have a lot of similarities, mostly though technology companies that call both the Bay area and Seattle home.
“We are bringing together two powerhouse companies and long-time Steelcase partners to serve customers and designers in one of the most vibrant regions for workplace design in our country,” said Baker.
